Event Objectives

In the light of significant global changes since the current QCPR resolution was adopted in 2020, this module will examine the areas in need of continued focus to ensure full implementation of the repositioned UN development system and the revitalized Resident Coordinator system. This module will highlight the results of the reform measures in practice and examine the essential steps needed to accelerate progress towards achieving the SDGs. The first panel will center on harnessing the support of the UN development system across global, regional, and country levels, to facilitate key transitions while delivering on the promise to leave no one behind. The second panel will focus on the progress of and challenges for UN country team leadership, tailoring configuration, and the reform of business operations to maximize the contribution of the UN system to achieving sustainable development.
